Intercultural Compentency Workshop: "Building Lasting Bridges"

Don’t miss this valuable opportunity designed for church leaders and staff who work with a diverse range of people and wish to embark on a journey toward authentic relationships with those who are culturally different. The goal is for participants to grow in cultural confidence and competence, enabling them to continue or expand their ministries. This interactive workshop encourages full engagement and provides valuable insights, resources, and transformative practices.

Our presenter for our workshop is the Rev. Kathryn Choy-Wong (Katie), consultant, trainer and writer in intercultural ministries. Since 2003, Katie is a co-founder and senior trainer of the former i-Relate Institute, an Intercultural Leadership Institute, which trains pastors, lay leaders and churches in working interculturally. She has been a consultant for American Baptist churches and organizations, as well as United Methodist and local Bay Area churches. Her passion for churches, missions and social justice is long-standing.

Katie, with two colleagues, Rev. Dr. Dale Weatherspoon and Dr. Lucia Ann McSpadden, have published a book for Judson Press, Building Lasting Bridges: An Updated Handbook For Intercultural Ministries and its accompanying online workbook (free from www.Judsonpress.com.) She has written two manuals for churches in prayer, Covenant Prayer Group Manual (National Ministries, ABCUSA, 1988) and intercultural ministries, Building Bridges: A Handbook for Cross-cultural Ministry (Judson Press, 1998).

The cost of the 3 sessions is $50 per person. Register today!
