Day 30 – Together in God's Work

Reflection

Our journey through these thirty days brings us back to the truth that has guided our preparation: we belong to God, and we are called to God's work together. We have remembered God's faithfulness across generations, sought renewal by rooting ourselves in Christ, celebrated the gifts we share as co-workers in ministry, and lifted our eyes toward the future with hope. Now we gather these threads into one prayerful commitment.

Throughout the generations, faithful followers of Jesus have proclaimed the gospel, nurtured disciples, strengthened congregations, and served their communities with humility and love. They planted seeds they would never see fully blossom, trusting God to give the growth. Their witness reminds us that God's work is always larger than any one person, congregation, or generation. We are each invited to contribute faithfully, knowing that God is weaving our efforts into His greater purpose.

As we approach the Annual Session, may we come with grateful hearts, open minds, and willing spirits. Let us honor the past without living in it, embrace the present with courage, and trust God for the future. Rooted in Christ, renewed by the Spirit, and rising together in hope, we recommit ourselves to God's work for the sake of the gospel and the generations yet to come.

Prayer

Faithful God, thank You for the privilege of serving alongside sisters and brothers in Christ. Unite us in love, strengthen us for ministry, and guide us by Your Holy Spirit. May our lives and our churches bear witness to Your grace as we continue Your work together. Amen.
