Day 23 – Do Not Grow Weary

Scripture

"Let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9

Reflection

Faithful ministry is often less about dramatic moments and more about quiet perseverance. There are seasons when the work feels heavy, progress seems slow, and the results of our labor are hard to see. Pastors grow tired, congregations face challenges, and leaders may wonder whether their efforts truly matter. Into these moments, Paul offers a word of encouragement: "Do not grow weary.”

The promise is not that the journey will be easy, but that our labor in the Lord is never in vain. The seeds of kindness, justice, compassion, and faithful witness we plant today may bear fruit long after we are gone. The harvest belongs to God, and God's timing is always perfect.

We stand on the shoulders of faithful women and men who endured seasons of hardship and uncertainty. Their steadfast witness became a blessing to those who followed. Likewise, our faithfulness today is an investment in others’ lives and in the future of Christ's Church. God does not ask us to produce the harvest; God simply calls us to remain faithful, trusting Him to bring the growth.

Prayer

Faithful God, strengthen me when I grow weary and renew my spirit when I feel discouraged. Help me trust that every act of love and service matters in Your kingdom and that You will bring forth a harvest in Your perfect time. Amen.

Take a moment to encourage someone who has been serving faithfully. A word of gratitude, a note of encouragement, or a simple prayer may give them the strength they need to continue.
