ATLANTA, GA (ABNS 2/22/16)—The American Baptist Historical Society has announced the opening of a search process for its next Executive Director. The position profile is available by clicking here. As noted in an October 2015 news release, Deborah Bingham Van Broekhoven will retire as executive director of the American Baptist Historical Society (ABHS) in August 2016. Van Broekhoven announced her plans at the annual ABHS Board of Managers meeting on October 2. The Executive Committee of the ABHS board has formed a search committee to conduct a nation-wide search for her successor.
The position is now officially open and the ABCUSA Human Resources Office will be accepting applications. Interviews are projected for late April 2016, with a goal of having a candidate in place for a start date of August 15, 2016.

The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts (TABCOM) has announced their search for a new Executive Minister. Their Current Executive Minister, Tony Pappas, will be retiring later this year. TABCOM is a region with extensive cultural and economic diversity, and has a preference for an Executive with both significant pastoral experience and leadership success within a nonprofit framework. The new Executive Minister will be called to address congregational health, lead the region to connect with a rapidly changing world, and build relational bridges to communicate with the region's pastors and churches.
