Michael Rodan, Former GDVA Treasurer, Dies

We received word from Rev. Thomas Bennett over the weekend that Mr. Michael Rodan, age 59 of Riverside, NJ passed away April 4 after a short illness.  Mr. Michael Rodan has served in his church, the First Baptist Church of Burlington in a number of different offices and was the church treasurer for over 30 years. He also took an active role in the Greater Delaware Valley Association of the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey and had just finished over ten years as their treasurer.  Rev. Vernl E. Mattson, Associate Regional Pastor said, "Mr. Rodan was always present for our meetings, enjoyed working with the executive committee officers, provided good financial reports and budgets. We could always count on his service to the association and did so with a smile and great joy." Our deep sympathy goes to his family and many friends.  He will be greatly missed by all.  Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Burlington, E. Broad and Stacy Streets, Burlington. Friends and relatives may call at the church Tuesday evening from 6-9 pm and again on Wednesday from 10-11am. Burial will follow services in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the First Baptist Church, 335 Stacy Street, Burlington, NJ 08016.
