Palmer Seminary invites all to attend the Orlando Costas Lectureship. The Rev. Dr. Elaine Padilla, Associate Professor of Constructive Theology at New York Theological Seminary will speak on "The Borderlands Within the Divine Horizons" where she will explore the philosophical and theological nuances of the term border as dwelling, limit and moral boundary with regards to space and place, and to how bodies organically reshape its geometries. Its focus will be on the geopolitical struggles over the southern borders of the United States in response to recent political developments that are adversely affecting immigration such as DACA.
Music will be provided by the Rev. Julio Gonzalez and Annie Gonzalez, long time American Baptists and pastors of Primera Iglesias Bautista of Central Islip, NY.
A continental breakfast will be served.
