COAL 2019: Conversations

Conversations on Pastoral Benefits / Conversaciones de Beneficios Para Personas en el Ministerio

Ministers and congregational leaders routinely collaborate on matters of faith, spiritual health, and the day-to-day functioning of the congregation. Yet, conversations on benefits for those in ministry are often sensitive issues and not fully understood. During our time together Rev. Chacón-Peralta will help us become more familiar with the benefits that MMBB provides for the well-being of our churches and pastors.

21st Century Practices for Evangelism and Outreach

Evangelism and Outreach are two distinctly different areas of ministry that Jesus himself demonstrated among His disciples. Jesus gave clear instructions to His disciples, that are found in His Word, about how we should make evangelism and outreach a priority. Considering the changing trends in the Christian Church nationally, it is important to engage in a time of focused conversation around what evangelism and outreach practices should look like in the 21st Century. This class is structured to engage in that conversation with learning goals centered around producing the results we are looking for in the age we are doing ministry.

Strengthening Prayer in your Church

While prayer is understood as foundational for ministry, many of our churches falter when it comes to actually praying. How does your church fan the flame of encouragement for gathered and individual prayer? How is prayer taught and modeled? After a time of conversation, we will conclude by praying for the prayer ministries of our churches.
