Our Mission Statement:

In commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
and to the mission of the church,
and through the enabling of the Holy Spirit,
American Baptist Women's Ministries provides opportunities for each woman and girl to:
- become and develop as God's person
- build God's faith community, and
- serve God's world.

The American Baptist Women's Ministries of New Jersey has its own web site: www.abwminnj.org.

2006 Ministry Overview

What a mighty God we serve!

For the last twelve months the American Baptist Women’s Ministries of New Jersey were blessed to do ministry throughout New Jersey and the world.  The American Baptist Women’s Ministries of New Jersey was sent to do the work God had given us to do.  Being faithful stewards of God’s charge to us meant letting our lives express our spiritual gifts and all that is reflected in our spirit, mind, body, and to become all that God has equipped us to become.

ABWM continues to sponsor three major events throughout the year.  The Love Gift Luncheon is held on the Saturday closest to Valentines Day.  At the event all of the associations take a special love gift as a state project.

In the spring, regional events were held in the north, central and southern parts of our state.  In the north and south, a presentation on the Mission Encounter Tour to the American Southwest was a highlight.  In the central area, a guest missionary spoke.  ABWM business sessions were held in all three locations.

Our main event is the Annual Conference held in June at Harvey Cedars on Long Beach Island.  This year we were blessed to hear from a special interest missionary and a great Bible study leader.  We were also blessed by wonderful music, praise dancing and fellowship.

I am so grateful to God for my journey during this time in my life, and to be of service to others along the way.

May all our American Baptist Women continue to share God’s bountiful blessing and mercies as we serve Him throughout Eternity!

In Christ’s Service,

Ms. Robbie L. Kelly,

President, ABWM of New Jersey
