Professional Ministry and Church Relations Committee

The Committee on Professional Ministry and Church Relations serves the region by helping candidates as they journey toward ABC ordination.   The Committee has the following duties:

1. Examine candidates in regards to licensing and ordination.
2. Supervise the certified lay minister program.
3. Oversee the minumum slary and salary support programs.
4. Encourage continuing education of clergy.
5. Propose and implement ABCNJ's policy on Ordination Standards and Procedures.
6. Interpret ABCNJ's policy on pastoral relations.
7. Monitor the process of receiving and dismissing member churches, and the covenant relationship between member churches and ABCNJ as it is administered within each Association.
