ABCNJ's New Church Development Committee

The New Church Development Committee of the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey oversees the planting of new churches throughout our region.  Planting new churches is one of the most effective ways of reaching unchurched people.  Did you know that the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey hopesto start 40 more before 2010!Currently ABCNJ is working with about 30 new church development churches and missionaries from Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Korea, Liberia, and India to New Jersey.

You can be a part of our new church development ministry in many ways:

· Pray for ABCNJ NCD churches and pastors.

· Encourage your church to give to United Mission (65% comes back to ABCNJ for ministries in our state).

· Add ABCNJ’s new church development ministries to your mission budget as a “specific” offering.

· Develop a “Sister Church” relationship with one of the ABCNJ new church starts.

· Encourage your Association to get involved in ABCNJ Go New Jersey!   

· Invite nearby new churches to your church’s special  activities.

· Look to new churches for association leadership.

· Visit our new churches.

· Exchange pulpits with an ABCNJ new church planter. 

· Invite your new churches to testify about what God is doing at Fall and Spring  Association meetings.

· Help plant a church.

· Consider hosting a new church at your church.
