Health Insurance for ABCNJ Church Workers

Imagine having perfect health with no accidents or dental concerns.  This may be a wonderful dream, but an unrealistic one for most of us.

Adequate heath insurance coverage is a necessity for each of us.  It is customary for churches to provide health and dental services as part of the benefits paid to pastors and other church employees. Effective January 1, 2008, heath and dental insurance plans are offered to ABCNJ church workers seeking coverage for their families.

 The Aetna Choice POS Plan 15 – ABCNJ’s Comprehensive Health Plan Option 

For 2008, ABCNJ offers medical insurance through the Aetna Choice POS Plan 15.  This comprehensive health plan option (which does not require referrals) also provides vision coverage. 

The premium costs of the 2008 Aetna Plan increased 17.3% over the cost of 2007.  Effective January 1, 2008 the monthly premiums are as follows:

Alternative plans are available if ABCNJ's comprehensive plan is not affordable for you or your church. In 2008, ABCNJ added two new lower cost options that have higher co-pays and higher out-of-pocket costs when using "out of network" Aetna providers.  The new plans should only be selected if your physicians and hospitals are in the network. More Good News: ABCNJ’s Dental Plan Premium Remains the Same 

There was no change in the Horizon Dental premium for 2008!  ABCNJ recommends this plan.  However, there are alternative plans that are limited to the participating dentists.  As always, Dental coverage is a separate plan.  MONTHLY rates for 2008 are as follows:
