 ABCNJ co-hosted, along with National Ministries, a conference for Asian pastors who serve in the Eastern part of the United States on October 18-20, 2007. People from Washington, DC to Boston attended the event, which was held at Baptist Camp Lebanon.
The theme of the conference was "Diaspora and Partnership: Challenges and Hopes of Doing Asian Ministries in the East Coast." ABCNJ's Executive Minister and Senior Regional Pastor, Rev. Dr. Lee B. Spitzer, spoke on Saturday morning. He focused on Acts 6:1-6, where the Jersualem church faced multi-cultural challenges. Special thanks to Rev. Florence Li, National Coordinator for Intercultural Ministries and Asian Churches Strategist, for her leadership in making this conference a reality! |

We invite you to mark your calendar for the upcoming East Coast Asian Ministries Conference, October 18-20, 2007, at Camp Lebanon, NJ. This is being organized by Rev. Florence Li of National Ministries in partnership with ABCNJ and Metro NY. If you are Asian-American pastors, lay leaders, or community leaders, this conference will be a great resource for empowerment and networking. We also encourage leaders of all ethnic groups who are interested in Asian ministries to participate in this conference. I encourage all Korean American Baptists to participate.] During the 100th Biennial meeting in Washington D.C., the Conference of the association of Korean American Baptist Churches USA, which was established 5 years ago, will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at 8:00am. Our meeting place will be announced at the Biennial meeting. We want participation of all Korean American Baptists. |
