 This year's national Haitian Alliance annual meeting took place at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Saturday, November 24, 2007. ABCNJ Haitian churches were very supportive of this day of inspiration and study.
Rev. Dr. Lemaire Alerte and Rev. Dr. Lee B. Spitzer teamed together to lead a workshop for adults on mission and relational health. Rev. Dr. Edgard Nicolas, ABCNJ Associate Regional Pastor for Haitian Ministries, also served in a leadership capacity at the event. |

From April 27th through May 5, Five women from the Haitian Evangelical Church of Jesus Christ of Jersey City went on a mission tour in the Bahamas on the invitation of Estella Schevessing, Missionary in the Bahamas. The women who went were: Yves Marianne Desir, Exileine Samedi, Elda Nathan, Marie K. Anglade Bazile, and Marleine Jean. While in the Bahamas. They went to spend some time in an area called Bois-Pin. It is inhabited by Haitians that live there in a very deplorable condition. They do not have any electricity and running water. They build themselves the homes that they live, which are small in size with no modern comfort. While the women were there, they found out that the well that the Haitians use to get water had a broken piece. God our savior sent these women at the right time. They paid for the well to be repaired. With the grace of God, the group of missionaries was able to help the Haitians with clothing and monetary assistance. To God be the Glory!
