Are you utilizing the Satellite Seminar Library to assist with the discipleship ministry at your church?
New DVD's have been added to the Library so I know you are eager to review the updated list. Just go to "Ministries," scroll down to "Discipleship" and over to "Satellite Information." You will discover additional DVD's aired in 2007 and new DVD's aired in 2008. When you download the list of DVD's, also download the "Lending Registration Form" which must be submitted with your lending request.

Have you seen the new listing for the Satellite Seminars DVD Library?
The DVD's are now listed in categories by topics to make it easier to locate a particular area of interest. If you are looking for a great resource to encourage life-long learning in discipleship, click here or go to "Ministries, " scroll down to "Discipleship" and over to "Satellite Information." You will discover DVD's produced by the Church Communication Network (CCN) which you can borrow from ABCNJ and show at your church. In addition to the list of DVD's, don't forget to download the "Lending Registration Form" which must be submitted with your lending request. During the current heat wave engulfing the state, I thought you might like to hear some "refreshing" news.
To date, 33 churches and one Baptist Home (Riverview Estates) are studying or have completed Bible studies in the book, "Jesus Christ from Cover to Cover," and the list continues to grow!
When the weather is very hot, we are advised to drink lots of water for our physical health--why not quench your spiritual thirst by joining the "Jesus Christ from Cover to Cover" journey and drink of the "Living Water"? I hope that you are still basking in the Easter (Resurrection Sunday) experience. Yes, Jesus is alive!
During one of our Lord's appearances after His resurrection, He told the apostles to wait in Jerusalem for the gift from God: baptism by the Holy Spirit. What were the apostles to expect while they waited? Jesus explained: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 NIV The power of the Holy Spirit which descended on those gathered on the day of Pentecost was what enabled those early believers to be Jesus' witnesses. We are His witnesses today by the power of the Holy Spirit. As we commemorate Pentecost Sunday on May 11, 2008, give praise to the Father for giving us Jesus, the Son, and for the gift of the Holy Spirit! And as always, stay centered in Christ! On Palm Sunday, we will remember Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem as the crowds welcomed Him with praise and adoration: "Hosanna to the Son of David!
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Hosanna in the highest!"
Matthew 21:9 By the end of the week, the mood of the crowds had changed and they cried out: "Crucify him!"
Matthew 27:22 Although Good Friday looked hopeless, on Easter Sunday morning, our Lord arose victorious! Praise God for His matchless gift of Jesus, the Christ! Stay centered in Christ! |
