This past Sunday at both services of the First Baptist Church, Rev. Vernl E. Mattson, Associate Regional Pastor and Area Minister presented Rev. Clyde Vanworth a certificate of recognition of ordination and offered a prayer of dedication and commission as Clyde "Van" and Jane his wife now finalize their plans to become involved in work overseas.  We are delighted to see their work and to participate with First Baptist Church of Mount Holly in supporting them at this point in their journey.  Rev. Clyde Vanworth previously served as a chaplain in the armed services.  They have been in New Jersey now for several years and now will be following God's call to work overseas.  We join in prayer for them as they go to an area of the world where great religious persecutions continue to happen and are in countries of particular concern where serious abuses of freedom of thought, conscience, religion and belief around the world is under attack.
